Team Background: 
This is the 2nd "Cheetahs" team I've run.  The prior was a group of 2001's who by 8th grade became #3 in MD.  We had an A team and a B team. 12 of my 17 "A" team players made varsity as freshman for their respective high schools.  6 went on to play in D1 to JC colleges.  My intention is to carry this team forward on a similar development path.

Coaching and Playing History:

Coach Erik has been playing competitive soccer since age 5 and continues to this day.  He played for NHHS from 1985-1989.  He made the University of Maryland Track & Field team coming out of high school and transitioned to the nationally ranked Rugby team during his junior year.  He played for the Mid-Atlantic TEAMS USA soccer team in 1991 in tournaments throughout Europe.  After college he played Rugby for a few seasons before returning back to competitive soccer.  In 1999, Erik became an Assistant Coach for the USL Silicon Valley Ambassadors under head coach Joe Silveria.  Erik coached and played for several very competitive regional teams during those years.  In 2006, Erik took over as the Chairman for the soccer program at Jarrettsville Rec and was an original founder and former president of Northern Elite Soccer Club.  He is currently the Boys Varsity Head Coach at North Harford High School where he has taken the team to the State Finals and State Semi-finals each of the last two years.  He runs various open training programs throughout the year.  He continues to play competitively in various local men's leagues and tournaments around the country.
